[SOS-Boston] Meeting tonight + Glenn Close + Unhooked

Hi folks,

Just a few notes:  first, there's a meeting tonight at 7:00, I hope you can make it.

Second, I don't know if you heard on the news late last week (I didn't but a friend tipped me off), there is a new campaign to reduce the stigma of mental illness, it's an effort headed by Glenn Close and her sister Jessie (who suffers from bipolar disorder).  Anyway, here's a link if you're interested:

The idea (I think) is to be more open to discussing mental illness, which will reduce stigma and get people who need help to seek treatment instead of suffering and festering.  So, next time you have an opportunity, give a shout out to mental illness.

Finally, I visited the Lifering forums yesterday and found it pretty helpful.  I've been stewing unproductively about some addiction issues (the gift that keeps giving, ha) and found it helpful to blurt and blab with others who've been down the road before. It helped clarify things for me.  Anyway, you have to create a username/password, but it's anonymous (if you want it to be).  There is a "forum" which you can post and reply to (or lurk) kind of at your leisure, and there are "chat rooms" which are chats that happen in real time.

If you want to check it out, see the links ("chat room" and "forum") in the upper left:

Hope all are well --
