[Palindrome] Mystery Hunt Collaboration Software Project
Fellow Hunters,
Many teams put a lot of effort into software for online collaboration
during the Mystery Hunt. This results in a lot of inefficiency, since
every team has its own independent implementation of such software,
probably involving a wiki, a Google docs/spreadsheets plugin, and/or a
pile of ugly php code written the day before the start of Mystery Hunt.
Many people involved in writing such software are enthusiastic about the
idea of an open-source project developing good collaboration software that
all teams can use and contribute to.
There will be a meeting in 4-270 from 6-8PM on Saturday, February 2, 2008
to organize such a project.
We'd like each team that sends representatives to the meeting to demo
their current collaboration software on the projector, since I think
that'll be helpful in discussing the design.
If you're interested in this project, you should be sure to blanche
yourself onto puzzle-software mit edu (or if you don't have an Athena
account, email me and I'll add you).
