First of all, I want to thank everyone who showed up at the service for my mom, or at my dad's house, and especially everyone who made contributions in my mom's name. I realize I have not had the chance to thank everyone in person, but please know how much this has meant to me and my family.
I have rescheduled the February party. It will now take place from Friday night April 20th at 7:30 until Sunday night April 22nd. While there will certainly be a conflict with something (sorry I'll miss your April gaming Joe; say happy birthday to your brother in New Mexico for me Aaron), this weekend will be a good chance for me to unwind after finishing up my taxes.
The usual details apply - this will be a weekend full of games and B-Movies - dinner will be provided Saturday night - there's plenty of crash space for those wanting to stay over. The pool table and video game rooms will be available, as well as plenty of new board games. I now have over 1700 DVD's so I'm sure you can find something to watch.
I haven't decided yet what the Saturday night group event will be. Rob has offered to write another Haste Worte game, and there is always interest in Texas Hold'em. If anyone has a strong preference either way, please let me know. I'll try to make a final decision by the end of March.
I think I have finally gotten AOL to stop automatically adding names to my address book, so hopefully this will be the last time I need to apologize to anyone who is on this list in error. Please let me know if you'd like to be removed.
More details to follow. I just wanted to get the date out there so people can start making plans. I hope to see many of you here.
