Re: [Palindrome] Pondering the Note

Funny you should bring this up. There was an article in this week's
Boston Globe about iFIND, a new campus peer-to-peer service that allows
people to track each other's locations at MIT:

<http://www.boston.com/business/personaltech/articles/2006/12/13/locating_pals_at_mit_privately/>

This paragraph in particular caught my attention:

"But for now, Ratti sees the program being used for some
quintessentially MIT purposes. Elaborate electronic scavenger hunts
could require people to get within a few yards of a target before they
could get a clue sent to them."

You have to have an mit.edu address to sign up for iFIND, so I'm in the
middle of the registration process now. I have no idea whether this
year's hunt will actually use iFIND, but it can't hurt to be ready,
just in case. (Anyone else with an mit.edu address -- though I think
I'm the only one on the team -- can download iFIND at
<http://ifind.mit.edu>.)

I feel that I have only a rudimentary smattering
of information, and most of it's wasted on words
like "rudimentary" and "smattering."
