Re: [Palindrome] Wikivisitors?

Hi all.

I don't know whether we are going to try to re-imagine the wiki I created last year for ACRONYM or start from scratch.  I guess I'll now throw open to the Palindromian masses said wiki, which I previously told a couple of people about.  It is here:

https://wikronym.pbwiki.com/

and the password is:

janus555  (changed from last year)

It still has much ACRO-scrawl on it, which would need to be erased page by page (easy enough to do) -- the structure is the important thing.  Unlike last year when I had loads of time, I do not have time to do it this year, although I welcome others to shape it as they see fit, if this is what we will use.

A page of online resources, which is a good thing to get familiar with, is here:

https://wikronym.pbwiki.com/Resource%20Page

I can easily set up "read-only" privileges for guests (different password) from my home computer, which I will do if people want me to.

Go, Og! (caveman cheer),

Tinhorn (Dave Shukan)

>It occurs to me that during the hunt it is often advisable to call outsiders
for help. For example, I'm active in an online music community that could be
very helpful for the puzzle (that I'm sure Spelvin and/or Lunch Boy is busily
constructing right this minute) requiring initmate knowledge of indie bands. In
the past, I've directed those I've called for assistance to the relevant hunt
page, but it would be great if there were some type of guest privileges that we
could allow for the wiki. Not being a programmer, I have no idea if this is a
trivial fix to the existing wiki or would require more effort than its worth.
But I'm sure I'm not the only one who calls for outside help, and if it's not
too onerous to add this, maybe our wikimaster (is that Artistry?) could take a
look at the issue.

This could make sense.

One thing that would be really great would be to have the wiki up as soon as
possible so that all of us could play with it, get it into usable shape, and,
most importantly, get used to using its commands. Who is in charge of the wiki,
and how hard would this be?
