Where has the time gone? Less than a week to go and the house is still a
mess. Guess I know what I'm doing with my day off this week.
I have a bunch of new games, and tons of new DVD's. In addition to my chili
Saturday night, Greg has volunteered to bring another batch of his, for those
who can't handle not having meat. He is still mad about the results of the chili
cookoff last year and wants one more chance for us to test his out before he
retires to Florida.
Rob is still feverishly working on some Haste Worte categories for Saturday
night. We are going to reduce the # of categories, and maybe the # of teams to
try to make this flow a bit more smoothly.
Not sure about any special guests this time, as I have not heard back from
Greg and Peter, but there will be plenty of the usual gaming and movies. And
most of us feel we are special anyway!
I still have lots of stuff to get rid of, so maybe someone will be kind
enough to take it off my hands. Loads of VHS tapes, music cassette tapes, and
Atari 2600 cartridges will be available for $1 each. I also have a bunch of
duplicate DVD's that I bought that can be yours for under $5 each - buy more,
pay less per DVD. And of course I need to start getting rid of some old games,
so there are many of those available (cheap) as well. All of these will be
offered to party guests prior to going up on Ebay or Craig's List. So bring
cash, lots of it!
Anyway, the usual details apply. We start Friday at 7:30 and run through
Sunday night. Dinner is provided on Saturday and there is still plenty of crash
space available. Feel free to bring your own games or DVD's, or feel free to use
mine.
As always, if you are getting this message in error, blame AOL which added
you to my address book when I sent you mail about an Ebay or Amazon purchase, or
whatever...
Hope to see everyone this weekend.
