BY T (Red Line):
Take the Red Line to Davis Square. Turn right when you exit the turn stiles. Go through the door marked "Meacham Road." Follow the red brick road past the pedestals, across Buena Vista to the head of the bike path (Buena Vista is the only street you'll cross). Continue along the bike path maybe 10 yards and exit to your left onto Thorndike Street. Walk to the end of Thorndike & hang a right onto Kingston. 43 Kingston Street is a cream house with blue trim on your right, between a private way & a really groovy black & white house. Please note that 43 Kingston Street is about 4 doors down from 43 Shea Road; don't go to 43 Shea.
BY CAR:
If you're on Mass Ave coming from Harvard Square:
Continue about half a mile past Porter Square to Shea Road (it's a
few blocks past the big sign that says "PEMBERTON PARKING"). Hang a
right onto Shea, which turns into Kingston after a few yards, thanks to
the magic of Massachusetts street-naming conventions. 43 Kingston is a cream house with blue trim
on your left, between a private way & a really
groovy black & white house. Please note that 43 Kingston Street is
about 4 doors down from 43 Shea Road. 43 Shea is a brown house; don't go there.
If you're on Mass Ave coming from Arlington:
Drive along Mass Ave to Meacham Street, which will be on your left
about half a mile past the Arlington/Somerville Line (it's just past a
new bar called "Joe Sent Me" and there's an antique shop on the corner
that looks like a greenhouse). Hang a left onto Meacham, then a quick
left onto Locke, and a quick right onto Shea, which turns into Kingston
after a few yards, thanks to the magic of Massachusetts street-naming
conventions. 43 Kingston is a cream house with blue trim on your left, between a
private way & a really groovy black & white house. Please note
that 43 Kingston Street is about 4 doors down from 43 Shea Road; don't go to 43
Shea.
If you're coming from East Somerville along Highland Ave:
Drive to the big 5 way intersection at Davis Square. Take a soft left
onto Dover Street, to the right of the Someday Cafe & the
Somerville Theater. The first right is Meacham. Take it. Continue along
Meacham to Kingston, where you will hang a R. 43 is a cream house with blue trim
on
your right, between between a private way & a really groovy black
& white house. Please note that 43 Shea Road is about 4 doors
down from 43 Kingston; don't go to 43 Shea.
If you're coming from North via Medford or Powderhouse Square:
Take College Ave to Davis Square. You'll come to a 5 way
intersection. Take a soft right onto Dover Street, right next to the
Someday Cafe. The first right is Meacham. Take it. Continue along
Meacham to Kingston, where you will hang a R. 43 is a cream house with blue trim
on
your right, between a private way & a really groovy black &
white house. Please note that 43 Shea Road is about 4 doors down from
43 Kingston; don't go to 43 Shea.
If you're coming from the North along I-93:
Take Exit 31 (it's marked as putting you onto Route 16 towards
Re-veah), hang a right at the end of the ramp, get into the middle
lane, and continue straight onto Harvard St. Harvard St. turns into
Warner St. through the magic of Massachusetts street-naming
conventions. Continue along Warner to the rotary (or, if you're
British, the roundabout). Follow the signs that point to Davis Square.
You'll be traveling along College Ave. You'll come to a 5-way
intersection. Take a soft right onto Dover Street, to the right of the
Someday Cafe & the Somerville Theater. The first right is Meacham.
Take it. Continue along Meacham to Kingston, where you will hang a R.

If you're coming from the South along I-93:
Take Exit 29 (towards Somerville/Everett), onto Rte. 28. Continue
straight to merge onto Rte. 38 North, which is also known as Mystic
Ave. Take Mystic Ave for a little over a mile (which will take you into
wonderful Medford) until you get to Harvard Street, on your left. Hang
a L onto Harvard, which will turn into Warner after 1/2 a mile through
the magic of Massachusetts street-naming conventions. Continue along
Warner to the rotary (or, if you're British, the roundabout). Follow
the signs that point to Davis Square. You'll be traveling along College
Ave. You'll come to a 5-way intersection. Take a soft right onto Dover
Street, to the right of the Someday Cafe & the Somerville Theater.

If you're coming from the Mass Pike (I-90):
Take Exit 18 (which is marked as leading toward Cambridge/Allston),
and bear right as you head down the ramp, so you merge onto Cambridge
Street. Hang aleft onto Soldiers Field Road. Continue along Soldiers
Field Road about half a mile till you see a sign pointing to Harvard
Sq./Cambridge. Take that exit, and bear right at the fork. You'll cross
a bridge into Cambridge and end up on JFK street. If you do your best
to stay on JFK, you'll end up on Mass Ave heading West. After a little bit,
you'll turn fairly sharply & the road will Y. Stay to the left of the
Y, then stay to the right as it Y's again, so that you drive past Cambridge
Common. Continue past
