[Palindrome] Intro, and hotel roommate request

Hi Palindrome --

This is Trip Payne.  Most of you probably already know me through the 
NPL, where I go by the nom Qaqaq.  This is my first year with Palindrome 
after several years on ACRONYM, with whom I have made an amicable 
parting.  I'm looking forward to comparing and contrasting how the teams 
attack the Hunt.

For anyone who doesn't know me: I'm a puzzlemaker by trade, and my 
strengths will unfortunately overlap those of most of the rest of the 
team: wordplay, pop culture, literature, etc.  I am occasionally able to 
help by seeing things from the puzzlemaker's perspective, though, and I 
typically bring some obscure printed references that turn out to be 
helpful.  I'm weak on science, math, computers, music notation, most 
sports -- luckily, those subjects rarely arise during MIT Hunts.

I've already booked my flight for the Hunt (arriving early Thursday 
evening, leaving late Monday afternoon) but haven't yet booked a hotel 
room.  Anyone interested in sharing a hotel room within walking distance 
of campus?  No real preference among Kendall, Hotel@MIT, etc.  Prefer 
male non-smoker but am not adamant.  E-mail me at
