Re: [Palindrome] Kappa Sig problem with our mailing list?

Some updates:

We have another new puzzle. I just received a call from HQ that they were
"updating the map." There is now another puzzle entitled "Jumping Ship"
that requires calling HQ and appears to have something to do with the
skull. I'm awake now, so I'll make a phone call and see what we get out of
it.

The French Armada stopped by at about 5:00 this morning, apologized
profusely for waking me up (which they hadn't, as I had just called in an
incorrect solution for Sofiya, who apparently feels it isn't Martin Luther
King weekend if she's getting sleep), and chatted some.
A) We are not the only team getting flaky distribution on their e-mails. I
had just received a message from Amittai regarding where a recording of
last night's radio broadcast can be found (did everyone else), which they
claimed meant it should be fixed.
B) We talked a bit about the larger concern that we've solved five out of
sixteen puzzles on the first island, and there appear to be six islands
(for an estimated 96 more puzzles) remaining. Their response, which seemed
genuine, was, "but you've solved FIVE puzzles. We're not concerned about
you."
C) I didn't get the impression they wanted to talk about specific puzzles,
but I don't think I could have been clear-headed enough to do it anyway.

The French Armada also stopped by at something like 2:00 to take some
photos. They seemed disconcerted by the fact that I had been sleeping,
quickly snapped a couple of pics (including one that I like to think of as
a member of the cursed pirate crew, rising from the dead), and were off.
As best I can tell, the photographer found the image of our skull sitting
on our copier, to the extent that he tried to turn it around for a better
shot and was sharply scolded by his companion.

I think that's all I have, except to say that it is quite warm in my
sleeping bag, and much less so out of it.
