[Tufts-Nu] Tufts-Neutrinos: Meeting this Friday (May 2nd) at 12:30 pm

Dear Tufts Neutrino Enthusiasts,

We will be holding our regular meeting this coming Friday (May 2nd) at 12:30 pm.

As per usual, sandwiches and cokes will be available for in-person attendees.

Our guest at this meeting will be Prof. Gunar Schnell who gave a Talk last year at Tufts

On aspects of hadronization as measured by the HERMES experiment.

We have one Talk scheduled:

Impressions from DUNE Near Detector Review                            Hugh Gallagher

The `NOvA grapevine’ reports that Tufts PhD Michael Dolce has taken a job in industry.   If anyone

knows details – please share !

A very sad development is news from this weekend, that former Tufts Research Scientist Tomas Kafka

is unlikely to survive his most recent hospitalization.   Tomas was a mainstay for Tufts neutrino physics

for decades as a participant in neutrino experiments with the 15-ft bubble chamber at FNAL, followed by

Soudan II, DONUT, and MINERvA.
