   * Number of rooms. It seems like we need at least 2 rooms, and no
more than 3. Unless the rooms are small, I will assume 2 rooms are
sufficient. If we want to set aside a specific "social" room,
perhaps three small rooms would be preferable.

I think we should have a social room. As I recall there were people
last year who didn't visit us because we did not have one. We should
make some arrangement so that people who go to the social room and
find no one there can get the people they want to visit to come meet them.

Movable tablet armchairs. Fixed tablet armchairs. Movable tables
and chairs. Fixed tables and chairs. Conference tables and
   chairs.

I assume movable tables and chairs would be our first choice. Are
people opposed to movable tablet armchairs?

I think we need tables, but the room with tablet chairs might work if
we could find a bunch of tables to put there. It would be a pain, though.

   * Athena access. I am willing to let people use my account if we
want to use the Athena computer clusters here. Nobody seemed too
interested in this option last year, but maybe it was just because
there were no computer clusters near our headquarters. Should I
try to get classrooms near an Athena cluster, or is this not
   important?

I don't think it's important. We seem to be recently well supplied
with computers.

   * Anything else. Parking, proximity to the Kendall T stop,
proximity to Mass Ave, chalkboards, carpeting, windows, heating
systems, restrooms, or anything else you want to request.

I think it's good to actually go to the room and see if there are
problems like non-working heat.

I continue to think that it's worth having a real telephone. Last
year I remember calling and no one answering because of some cellphone
problem. Only some rooms have phone jacks. It's a pain to get the
phone activated, because (at least when I was doing it) they will only
bill to an MIT account. Several of us are willing to pay the cost.
