Hi, All, Reminder that the first informal brown-bag discussion about physics teaching will be today, Fri. Oct. 7, at noon, in Robinson 258. Roger From: Tobin, Roger
Friends, All faculty are invited to an informal brown-bag discussion about physics teaching – ideas, methods, challenges, things that work and things that don’t, insights from physics education research, etc. The idea is to provide a venue for
us to talk freely about a topic that occupies a large fraction of our time and energy. Date, time and place: Friday October 7, 12:00 – 1:00 pm, Robinson 258 If there is sufficient interest, the hope is to meet biweekly, i.e. on Oct. 21, Nov. 4, Nov. 18, Dec. 2, Dec. 16. This initial meeting is for faculty only. Once we see how much interest there is, we can discuss whether to open some or all of the discussions to interested graduate and/or undergraduate students.
