Since I know we have a lot of time on our hands this week, I wanted to remind you about the GSAS meeting today, at which our proposal for the Chemical Physics PhD program will be presented and voted on. In all seriousness, the Dean is concerned about whether enough faculty will attend to constitute a quorum, without which we can't approve the program. So it would be helpful if a few of us could show up at least for the first item. If you can spare a few minutes to eat at the Dean's expense and warm a chair, please come to Ballou at noon.
