Department Faculty and Staff - Greetings !

            For the next Monsoon - when your office is filling up
with water and Facilities says they can't help anytime soon --
you will now be able  take matters into your own hands !

With Chairman Tobin's approval,  the Department has just
acquired a  portable, 6.5 horsepower Wet Vac unit.
( Hey, those facilities units are only 5.0 hpw).    The
unit is now housed within the STC cleanroom - accessible
anytime.    To discourage ``bonding" (you'd be surprised
at how fond some people get of the WetVacs of others)
the unit will be stenciled with  ``Physics Dept" in some
truly horrendous color.
