Re: (ET) Chargers

Interesting. Where did you get them and do you recommend a particular
model?

Meantime I dropped in a spare charger and re-wired it for 50 amp AMP connectors (grey ones). Much better, I'll junk the old one, it's a big transformer charger unless someone wants it.

Chris, check out SPE Chargers. I bought several chargers from them.
Top quality. Custom charge profile? No problem. (at least back when I
bought mine.) I felt they were a good value.

Ok, so last weekend one of the diodes broke on my E20 charger. Which
meant I had to pull the charger which involved removing the deck, lift
to get to the wires to cut off the bolts that were so badly rotted it
wasn't funny. Pulling the charger showed that the diode assembly had
rotted, the wires were bad, and the base was cracked.

This thing is baloney. After 50 years I need a better charger. So who
makes a solid 30-50a 45 volt fully programmable charger that will get
these batteries up to snuff. Money no object and money moderate object.

Any thoughts? I don't want to put this pile of pig iron back in there
and I don't need the tractor moving for a few weeks.

Chris
