I may be remembering wrong (it happens), but I don't think you can legally 
just scrap them.  Cadmum is nasty stuff.  

If you can't find a good home for them, I suggest calling Saft in Valdosta 
Georgia 229 247-2331 to find out what's possible. 

At one time you could send cells back to Saft for recycling or 
refurbishing.  I hope that hasn't changed.
