(ET) Problem with E20 safety circuit

Hi all,

I'm having trouble with my safety circuit, the one that passes through the
brake and the seat. When I step on the brake to activate I can see the
relay in the dash move. But it has no effect whatsoever on stopping the
motor.

The previous owner had bypassed the brake switch and I fixed that, and then
it worked. Then it mysteriously stopped working and now I can't figure out
why.
