Re: (ET) Fall into winter

Well I had a couple of trees come down out back and one was blocking a path. So with the Elec-trak now not having a deck on the front and a blower on the back I saddled it up with the rotary inverter and a nice 3.5hp peak 16 inch Craftsman electric chainsaw. I have the Elec-trak chainsaw, but the smaller chain does cut slower and the 12 inch bar isn't quite as nice for larger logs.

Did about an hour of cutting before the accessory breaker tripped in the E20. And man the wires were *quite warm* from the outlet into the tractor, not melted but soft insulation. The rotary inverter itself was also pretty hot so I called it a day.

Have to think about the inverter: It's got a breaker on the AC side but that doesn't normally trip. I don't think it needs bearings or brushes, maybe I'm just hitting the limit with the little thing.

Rain and cold coming tomorrow, this might be the last nice day to get things done :-)
