Re: (ET) [BULK] Re: AP50 Sleeve hitch - which way is up?

Thanks for the reply. But in the photo it looks like a lot of tube (or is it the pin) over that plate. Its not very clear. I wouldn't think that the 1/4 overhang would be enough to always capture that plate when its being wrenched on either.

Maybe it doesn't make much of a difference once the implement is dialed in - as long as you always mount the hitch the same way.

Anyone else have experience with this?

Thanks
Dean

If you look at figure 2 in that pdf, the hole in the L shaped bracket goes over the top of tube. I think the bracket is about 1/8" thick and the top of the tube does sit above that. That bracket works with the two jam bolts to lock the implement from swinging, if so desired.

</div>Thanks I saw that before but when I looked at the GE photo it looked
like the 1/4 was on the bottom.

Interestingly enough the instructions do not specify it...

The short end of the tube is on the top, and the long end goes down. Make
sure to include the two bolts on either side of the tube, you'll find you
need them for many attachments.

I’m building a sleeve hitch and was wondering which way is up? Should the
5/8 pin tube have the short (1/4”) overhang to the top or the bottom.
I think the 1/4 is to the top but want to confirm.
Thanks
