(ET) Uh-oh.. one battery shows 4ish volts

After an overnight charge, all my batteries used to read a little over
six volts DC on a cheap voltmeter.

The last couple of times, though, the first battery in the string is
only reading 4.2 VDC.

I'm thinking one cell is dead, and I need a new battery.  Does that
sound right to you guys?

Of course the Internet has lots of people trying to sell wonder
gadgets that miraculously restore batteries from the dead!  ;)
