Size kinda sorta relates to capacity. And voltage rating. And intended usage. However "short and squat" doesn't sound like either of the two sizes used in the large frame chargers. Which makes me wonder if someone used a replacement that was the wrong value.

Best bet is to pull the capacitor and examine for markings. 4 uF being the more common, 20 uF being the other option (or may see "mfd" rather than "uF"). Next option is to take measurements so we can compare dimensions.
