ICEs are rated by peak HP, and electric motors by continuous HP.  I have a 
vague recollection that the drive motor in an E15 is rated about 3.5HP, 
and 
the mower motors considerably less, but I might be thinking of something 
else. I hope someone will correct me if my memory's playing tricks again.  
(Come to that, the earliest on-road Citicars had a motor of that rating!)
