Hello folks, I have an AllTraxed E15HA with a problem I don't yet
understand. Over the winter, it started a funny stopping thing - it would all
of a sudden stop (and the LED on the AllTrax unit would go out), I would let
off the accelerator (just a rope from the pot to a foot pedal), a few seconds
later the LED would come back on and I could continue. It did it a lot -
made it very difficult to even move the tractor around. It would even do
it just running the motor in neutral. So, I swapped out the main contactor which sits on the
AllTrax unit itself, and it worked perfectly for about a minute in neutral,
then I drove it about 300 feet, then it started doing the same thing again. I wonder about the control wires from the AllTrax to the
contactor, they seemed to be ok to a quick wiggle, but I didn't do any more
than that. I also wondered about the batteries being low - they're old
with pretty low capacity, but it seemed to work normally for a few minutes,
where it had been cutting out just a few minutes before that. Another odd part was that it seemed to help trigger it come
back on if I turned on the mower deck briefly. So, I thought I'd ask if anyone else has had something
similar happen, before I spent a lot of time troubleshooting. Besides that, I've loved having the big mower and the super
