I think if we all sat down and thought about it and compared the METI to say a hi end sears ground engaging IC tractor. With the difference in price you would buy you about 1200 gallons of fuel. Now smog and smell aside I could mow my 2 acres of grass plow my 400' driveway and pick all my pumpkins for 5 year with the 1200 gallons, and that is were the problem is with the newer ETS Paul or Joe the plumber CAN do the math. Unless they can get the price down to within 10% of the mid range price, there is only the true ET fan that will even concider it. I have a 1976 sears catalog and the orginal sales lititure for my EGT 200 and guess what there is a 12% diference. Now rember back there the anount of gas that 12% would buy is much greater, and when that margen goteven biger in the early 80s all playes in the ET field had to head for the barn.
