The ET isn't Snow White and ferroresonant chargers aren't the seven 
dwarves. 
They don't whistle while they work; instead they hum.  Actually, I'd 
characterize it as an obnoxious buzz, not a hum.  

You can sometimes mitigate this by physically isolating the transformer 
from 
the charger case with some kind of resilient mounting scheme.
