It's easy to use the archive to test a hypothesis... and yeah, it sure looks as if Mr. Richardson is the guy I was thinking of.

Maybe you're thinking of Steve Richardson?  He works (worked?) for Alltrax
and developed the E15 version for the ET.  He is / was a member of this
list.

I haven't looked lately, but AFAIK the E15 controller was never listed on
their website.  You had to call and ask about it.
