(ET) tiller

Out tilling the garden, pretty hard stuff that hasn't been touched since 
last fall.  Just wondering, the tiller seems to be pulling a lot of 
amps, any thoughts as if something may be looked at or is it just the 
nature of the beast.  The batts are pretty old so their capacity is 
down, I just replaced one that had a shorted cell with a used golf cart 
batt.  They all read within a few hundreds of a volt tho.
