Thanks for the tip.  Do you know exactly which 2300 model it is?  I would like to provide a more detailed schematic to the shop guy than the one in my manual.  There seem to be many, many 2300 models.  This page,

http://www.odref.com/peerless/2300-SERIES/index.html, shows a listing of them.  I haven't really gone through them yet to see how similar they are.
