Sevcon (bottom of page) is a very reputable brand.  The one at the top of 
the page looks like a "nameless wonder" to me, perhaps a cheapo Chinese 
deal.  

At some point I'm going to remove the onboard charger from my ET, since I 
don't use it.  I'm considering putting a small (U-1) size 12v auxiliary 
battery where the charger now lives.
