Good morning,
This is an open letter to anyone in the Electrak
community. I'm hoping that someone can offer some solutions to the problem
that has developed with my E12-S tractor.
Whenever I move the speed control either into the
forward or reverse mode, one of the contactors (I believe it's the "L"
contactor) chatters and the fuel gauge goes all the way negative. However,
I can sometimes hear the motor running in the background behind the chattering
noise. But the tractor will not move in either direction.
I tried attaching a jumper across two of the
four terminals on this contactor (per one suggestion) with the main power switch
off. But when I turned the main switch back on, the motor immediately
began to run with the speed control in neutral. At the same time, the
"grid" at the front of the front battery compartment became very hot.
Needless to say, I shut off the main switch at once.
At this point, I'm at a loss to try to figure out
what the problem is. Has anyone else run into this problem
before? Sure would appreciate some help on this.
Thanks.
