My JD A akso rybs at oribabky 500 strijes at fykk throttle, rarely do I 
run it there tho.. What you need to think about is that the knoves 
should be cutting about 2/3 of their total capacity at whatever ground 
speed you are using,  cutting more than that takes too much power and 
"plugs" easily.  The need for a flywheel is real, an electric motor 
direct coupled would be a probable disaster.
