Re: (ET) weeder cult

I have a Mantis cultivator that has no motor. I think an industrious person couild rig up a mower motor to work on it. I have an edger attachement thatgoes with it. If anyone wants to come by Wake Forest, NC, they can have it for free.

Dan,
I bought an electric Mantis last summer that works with my inverter. You do
have to put a shop light or some other small load on in addition or the
Mantis will not start (have to keep the inverter running). I have the on
demand inverter.

Subject: (ET) weeder cult

Anyone no of a source for a weeder. Coming up on spring and a 36 volt
weeder
would be helpful. Can use my rotary inverter if necessary.
Update: Jacked up my E-15 by mounting 26X12X12 Ag lug tires. Had to re engineer several areas. Add 1.75 inches in spacers between the
frame and axle in order to get the fenders to clear. Add about 2 inches to
the metal strap where the frame attaches to the Trans. This done and I find out that the gear shift hole is too small and has to be
enlarged in order to work as the angle has changed. The tractor looks like
it is moving while parked. New problem- By lifting the rear the angle is
changed for the front mower lift. Now I am replacing the narrow front
tires
with the wider ones. I have found that the 16X6.50X8 tires can be replaced
with 18X6.50X8's which should raise the front by 1 inch. I also found
that
the drive belts were in need of replacement.
Project continues- purchased a tiller from Keith and found that I
needed a tool bar to attach the tiller to the tractor. Keith had one, all
is well. Also purchased a sleeve hitch.
Questions: 1. Has anyone attached a sleeve hitch to the tiller
tool bar. Would be nice not to have to remove the tool bar to use the
sleeve
hitch.
                2. It looks like the tool bar could be adapted to use a
three point. Anyone have experience?

I have also replaced the batteries. Plan on using the E-15 to work up to 5 acres of organic gardening. Spring is coming. Now need to
work on the charger.
