Re: (ET) PVC Battery box liner

I just folded it so it would line the box. Used pop rivets to tack it together at the top to hold its shape. This is a flexible PVC membrane that is used to form a waterfroof barrier under a shower pan. It comes 5' wide by however many feet long you want. Usually, they pour concrete on it to make the pan and then put the tile on top of that. It's not exposed in the shower.

I think this is going to work pretty good. I am tired of corrosion in the battery boxes.

Great suggestion. Did you form the corners? Solvent weld, or thermal weld, or glue? What is the stuff you used- like the stuff glued to the wall around my tub?

Subject: (ET) PVC Battery box liner

I just made some battery box liners out of 40mil PVC shower pan liner.
Anyone else tried this, or want to comment? This is very tough stuff,
and is available at any home depot.
