I would be surprised if there is any real difference (other than the 
label) 
between these and standard marine batteries.  

However, the ideal for this application (standby sump pump) would be a 
battery optimized for float use (as in a UPS application).  Such a battery 
would be unsatisfactory for cyclic use in our tractors.  On the chance 
that 
they really are designed for standby use, I suggest that you look 
elsewhere 
for your batteries.
