J thought, using aDC relay on AC should make a neat multivibrator - so 
hook the points in series with a batt and a transformer, maybe make a 
'step up" circuit (;-')

Put my spare mower motor in the JD, seems to work OK so now to see what 
is wrong with the 'weak" one.  Wifey was commentiong, we've been using 
that JD for at least 25 years, one motor bearing and some tire trouble - 
not too shabby.
