Thon, This 12s is the only ET I have so comparison with your 12m is impossible at this time. However, my 12s has the motor situated ahead of the axel/transmission. I believe this to be the factory config. Interestingly the motor on this unit has a single sheave pully and the transmission has a double sheave pully. I question whether or not this is original equipment. Sorry for the irrelevant info. John
