(ET) actual fuel costs

I have a thing called a "kill a watt" which is a $30 plug-into your AC outlet meter that measures volts, amps, power factor, VA, and then keeps a running time log. Radio Shack sells them and it is simple and cheap for checking appliances, etc.

So I plug in the charger to this and walk away. When the timer is done, it shows the total kwh. You can also see that the charger pulls about 1000 watts at start of charge and then tapers off to about 200 or less at the end.
