        They are both NPN transistors . What I don't know is if there are different components used on the two types of 8 speed E-20 tractors . As was pointed out earlier, AA and BA cards are different than CA and DA.

I'm in the process of fabricating a new #4 card for my E20 and am wondering if anyone knows the value(s) of Q401 & Q402 components on the card.  I believe that one of them is a FET and the other transistor, but I am fairly ignorant when it comes to what replacement component parts are called.
