Just pulled down a mower motor for the JD,  in case anyone needs to 
know, the blade driver flange screws on to the motor shaft, came off 
nicely with a 30" pipe wrench  (;-')

Only had to cut off one mounting bolt on the flange, I just love the 
idiots that put the nut side down so it gets blasted by all the cutting {:-{
