Like you I live in a snow zone.  A few years ago Bill told me to use 85-140
gear oil.  I did and it ran fine.  Lots of guys on this list use synthetic
oil and thought I'd try it.  I have no doubts about Mobil 75-90 synthetic 
as
a lubricant but think my trans a bit noisier than with the heavier gear 
oil.

You probably know this but you must get 64 ozs in the trans so raise the
rear wheels at least 5" off the ground.

Has anyone tried the Motor Silk gear fluid additive?
