Re: (ET) Springs on the tiller



Mine doesn't have any springs, nor any obvious way to attach such.  The strap is supposed to be looped down and back, so it lifts slowly, but mine does lift OK.

 

Note that there is (should be) a chain that you can use to take the strain off of the strap once its lifted to the desired hight.  For deep tilling, I just let the tiller down all the way so it can float.  For transport or shallow tilling lift it up and then hook the chain into the lift frame to take the weight.
