Re: (ET) Run Inverter thru PTO or small accessory receptacle?

The Hubbel outlet on the accessory port is rated to either 15 or 20 amps. I would not draw more than that from it; that's why the welder used the PTO plug and brick trick.

20 amps at 36 volts is what: 720 watts or so. As long as you are pulling less than 700 you should be ok.

Thanks guys, have a good source and will get two polarized twist plugs.
Another question comes to mind. Have an inverter to run 115v AC (up to 9 amps) off the tractor's 36volts. Looks like the wiring to the PTO is a higher gauge than the small accessory receptacle. The accessory receptacle is more convenient because it stays on, with the PTO is have to put a brick on the seat switch. But can the small accessory receptacle handle this inverter's amps or would it be better to stay with the PTO receptacle? Thanks for your advise,
