Shannon sent the link to E-bay for the Fusible link wire, There was a 
little
note on the sight that solved the problem, Here is the rule of thumb for
Fusible links,

When determining what gauge wire you need to protect your circuit use 4
number gauges smaller than the wire you are protecting. Example: You are
protecting a 12 gauge wire. The fusible link wire should be 16 Gauge.

Another "Bill Gunn" mystery solved.
