RE: (ET) sickle bar mower

It CUTS fine; up to about a 3/4" sapling.

It HANGS UP on rough terrain; the thing is fixed to the hitch is LOW, and
sticks out about a foot behind the back
wheels. If it hangs up, you can tear the two rubber isolation bushings off
real easy (the fix is to attach two LOOSE dog chain sections to the
bushings; when the bushing stretches, the chain holds the weight.

It can only cut about 15 deg below horizontal, so it isn't real good for
ditches.

It's heavy, so the weight box in front may be needed to steer in some
conditions.

Subject: (ET) sickle bar mower

I have my E12S on 'loan' to my sister - you know, every time I call she's
out mowing - she and her husband have become great fans of the ET. Anyway -
they have tall stuff they want to take down and I'm wondering:

1. Does the sickle bar mower attachment work well?
2. Anyone know where to find one?
