Please check my math!
I calculate tip speed of my push mower as follows;
2*pie*radius(11")*RPM.
Then use the following conversion factors
to convert to MPH.
60min/Hr*3600RPM/(5280ft/mile*12in/foot).
So I calculated tip
speed as 235 MPH for my electric push mower
that spins at 3600 RPM.
It cuts the grass very well (as good as the gas
version).
I tried an 1800 RPM motor first and it barely
cut the grass.
