Call Bill Gunn (608 868
6220) and get the "Transaxle Shop Manual". This
covers the rider trans and differential. Exploded
views and detailed procedures plus lubrication
specifications
and amount. It is well
worth the few bucks it cost.

>Another project I am trying to get online is a Wheelhorse A-65
rider. I bought this from a former dealer. It like new and has never
cut grass. I'm getting it ready to use this year. I noticed that the
lubricants all dried up. I would like to know ewhat I should do with the
tranmission and differential. They are sealed units and ar advertised as
permanently lubricated. I took the neutral switch out of the tranmission
and there does seem to still be some grease in there. I can't see how to
look in the diff except to disassemble it. I'm tempted to at least squirt
some more grease in the tranny. Both of them look like typical '70s
manufacturing; not really well made. Any suggestion on what I should
do? Thanks.
