Re: (ET) apology for virus

I would urge everyone to get some form of virus protection.  Viruses are getting more frequent and can come from "trusted" friends and associates since they hide and use an address book to re-mail themselves.  You can be among trusted friends and quality folks, like this group, and still easily contract a virus that used a member to "hitchhike."  For all our sakes, we should all invest in a virus checker.  I use Norton anit-virus, and there are a few other good ones as well. Since I have a cable modem full time connection, I also use a cable router with a "firewall" and a software "firewall" as well to help prevent tampering from the outside.  My virus definition file gets updated about once a week.  The virus mentioned here is a very old one still making the rounds.  If everyone on the internet had virus checkers, it would have "died" months ago, just like smallpox was eradicated by innoculation.   Don't be a social outcast, make sure your incoming and outgoing mail is clean.   You will be doing the world a favor!
