Another question,
I took a closer look at the sloppy steering on an E16. The 'partial'
steering gear rotates a few degrees with respect to the horizontal shaft
that runs forward.
Before I tear it apart, is that just held by a hollow pin? If so maybe it's
just deformed.
I see a repaired weld at the front end of the horizontal shaft, and the
right front wheel appears to have some extra camber.
