hi jim, thanks for those great explanations, and david.  with this kind of 
help, the ev's and et's that we use will last longer and we'll be able to 
do 
most of the work on them ourselves.  
    re recent descussion on chainsaw and other prices, i could drive 3 
miles 
from here and get a new milwaukee electric chainsaw for 2 or 300, maybe 
less. 
 the one i bought 15 years ago for 150 still runs great.  
    it would be much more difficult to get an et chanisaw around here.  i 
wouldn't sell mine for those prices but would like to have another for my 
fathers place.
