Hello Group:
I have an electric "motorcycle" I want to sell. I was all set to put
it on
ebay, but their fees are high for anything automotive. I've had it for
about 15
years and haven't used it much. I bought it during a gas crisis to ride to
work 5
miles round trip. It runs fine and is great for short little trips on non
highways. Here's the description:
Goes 25-30 mph with a 200 lb rider. Looks like a small motorcycle but
is
powered by two 12 volt automobile batteries. Comfortable cushioned
leatherette
seat. Handlebars with front and rear drum hand brakes and brake lights.
Has 1 hp
American Bosch electric motor and motorcycle type chain drive, front and
rear
springs, turn signals, horn, headlight high and low beam, speedometer, kick
stand, rear-view mirror (cracked), twist throttle, metal crash guard,
3.50-10
tires (in good cond.). Fake motor cycle type gas tank has a voltmeter and
the
off/on key switch. Electric charger is built in near motor. Female plug
from gas
tank into wall outlet for overnight recharge. Stored indoors but has some
surface
rust on chrome of rear fender, luggage rack, springs, and wheels. Paint in
good
shape. Overall appearance good. Approx 65 inches long overall, 115 lbs sans
batteries. It was made in 1974 by Yuan Ta Industies Co. Ltd in Taiwan.
Imported
by Auranthetic of L.A.. I live in Leawood, KS, a sw suburb of Kansas City,
MO.
Hopefully someone in the KC area might want it. E-mail me for other
questions and
photos.
I was going to put a reserve price of $350 on it (not including
batteries).
It might be worth much more as a unique item, but I just want the space. I
guess
its not acceptable to attach photos on this posting, but I will post them
somewhere if someone tells me how.
